Rick Rieder is Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income at BlackRock, responsible for approximately $2.7 trillion in assets. Rieder is one of the nation's leading minds in finance and economics. He has over 30 years of experience in global investment management and has been a recognized expert on the global markets, investor sentiment, and economic policy. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2009, he was Vice Chairman and member of the Borrowing Committee for the United States Department of the Treasury, and member of the Federal Reserve’s Investment Advisory Committee on Financial Markets. In addition to his responsibilities at BlackRock, Rieder also holds leadership roles on investment advisory boards and numerous philanthropic engagements.
