Wouter Jongbloed is the Head of Political Risk Analysis at Exante Data, the provider of proprietary data and world-class analytical tools to institutional investors globally. In his role, he leads and develops the political and policy risk practice of the company, with the focus on the intersections of US, European and Chinese developments. He is responsible for client engagement on covered themes, and generating reports with probabilistic output to inform causal inference models, scenario analysis, and mathematical logic models. Prior to joining Exante in 2016, he had extensive experience working in academia and with various law firms. In addition, Wouter is a published author with Oxford University Press on a variety of topics including Sovereign investments, as well as cross border FDI.
EARLY CAREER
Wouter was a lecturer and a visiting research scholar at Fundação Getulio Vargas where he taught international trade, law and development in the digital economy.
He was a dean's research fellow at Columbia SIPA, where he conducted research on cross border trade and international economic integration.
He was a Managing Director at Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment and a Lecturer in Jurisprudence at Leiden University.
