The Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA is consistently ranked as one of the top engineering schools in Brazil, engaging in advanced research in aerospace science and technology. A military institution of higher education maintained by the Brazilian Air Force, it ITA is an organ of the Federal Direct Administration, as a Federal Institution of Higher Education (IFES), under the jurisdiction of the Air Force Command.
