Founded in 1881 as the state’s largest and most comprehensive university and the oldest continually-operating university in South Dakota, South Dakota State University offers a diverse academic portfolio of majors, minors and specializations. SDSU confers degrees from eight different colleges representing more than 175 majors, minors and specializations.
