THORChain is a decentralized liquidity protocol that allows users to swap assets instantly at manipulation-resistant market prices. It enables the decentralized exchange of assets across blockchains in a non-custodial manner. With THORChain, users can simply swap one asset for another in a permissionless setting, without needing to rely on order books to source liquidity. Instead, market prices are maintained through the ratio of assets in a pool.

  3. Traders who monitor pools and rebalance continually, paying fees but with the intent to earn a profit. 
  4. Node Operators who provide a bond and are paid to secure the system
