University of Montana
The University of Montana is a diverse learning community of artists, outdoor enthusiasts, scientists, and writers, from several ethnic, economic, religious, national and international backgrounds. It is a public research university well known for its life-size statue of a grizzly bear created by the sculptor and university professor, Rudy Autio, in 1969 that stands seven feet tall and weighs 5000 pounds.
