The University of Puget Sound, UPS, is a private university affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1888, the university has drawn approximately 2,600 students from 16 countries, offering over 50 traditional and interdisciplinary areas of study. Puget Sound offers a small community of independent thinkers, adventurers, and entrepreneurs through their four-year core curriculum in the liberal arts tradition. UPS offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, Master of Occupational Therapy, and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees.
