Canterbury is a cathedral city found in southeast England. It is a pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages. Ancient walls that are originally built by the Romans encircle its medieval center with cobbled streets and timber-framed houses. Headquartered also in Canterbury is the historic English cathedral and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Canterbury Cathedral.
