Alec Litowitz is the Founder and former CEO of Magnetar Capital, a leading multi-strategy alternative asset management firm, and currently serves as Chairman of the firm’s Management Committee and Co-Head of its Investment Committee. He is also the driving force behind the Magnetar Youth Investment Academy, a high school financial education program now in over 150 Chicago classrooms, reaching more than 10,000 students. Litowitz began his career in corporate finance at J.P. Morgan in the Financial Institutions Group and later joined Citadel Investment Group as a Principal, serving as Global Head of Equities and a member of both the Management and Investment Committees before founding Magnetar in 2005. In addition to his professional achievements, Litowitz is an active philanthropist in Chicago and an avid athlete, competing in triathlons and other endurance sports.

His passion for competitive sports extends to philanthropy through Dare2tri, a nonprofit that provides triathlon training and single-event participation for young people and adults with disabilities.
