- Shaffer began working for a residential developer while in college and quickly started his own business as a subcontractor in real estate development.
- He went to work at Marcus & Millichap after graduating from college, focused on investment sales in multi-family and commercial properties.
- While at Marcus & Millichap, he exceeded expectations and was recognized as the top producer in 2001 for the Dallas office.
- He continued his success in Marcus & Millichap for four years before he was approached by GVA Cawley to head up the investment sales team.
- He continued to prove himself as a top producer at GVA while managing a sales team during his advancement with the company.
- He went on to establish Wellington Realty based on a proven track record in performing on closing complex real estate transactions.
