Jim McDonald

Jim McDonald is Chief Technology Officer of Attestant, a financial technology company dedicated to the business of staking. In his role, he is focused on Ethereum staking, decentralized infrastructure, and advanced validator strategies. In addition, he is the Managing Director of Wealth Technology, where he provides insights, mentoring and investments for a number of early-stage technology companies. Jim has worked over 30 years of experience in internet infrastructure, including running one of the first public access internet services. He has worked on hardware and software, in startups and multinationals, in technical, management and leadership roles. Previously, he was the Chief Strategy Officer of X-IO Storage, the data storage division of X-IO Technologies, which was acquired by VIOLIN Systems in 2018.
