Jocko Willink is a bestselling author, podcaster, and retired Navy SEAL. Serving for 20 years, Jocko was the commander of SEAL Team Three's Task Unit Bruiser, the most decorated Special Operations unit of the Iraq War. After retiring, he continued on the disciplined path of success, co-founding Echelon Front, a premier leadership and management consulting company. At Echelon, he serves as a leadership instructor, speaker, and executive coach, teaching the leadership principles he learned on the battlefield to help others lead and win. MILITARY CAREER

  • Jocko spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams, starting as an enlisted SEAL and rising through the ranks to become a SEAL officer. 

  • He commanded SEAL Team 3's Task Unit Bruiser, the unit that fought in the battle against the Iraqi insurgents in Ramadi.

  • As commander, he orchestrated SEAL operations during the battle of Ramadi, stabilizing the violent, war-torn city.

  • After his stint in Iraq, he served as OIC of training for all West Coast SEAL teams, involved in the development of leadership training.

  • He also instructed and mentored the next generation of SEAL leaders who have continued to perform with great success on the battlefield.

  • During his career, Jocko was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and numerous other personal and unit awards.
