Joshua Corman is the Founder of I am The Cavalry, a global grassroots organization that is focused on issues where computer security intersects public safety and human life. He also serves as Chief Strategist for CISA regarding COVID, healthcare, and public safety. He co-founded RuggedSoftware and I am The Cavalry to encourage new security approaches in response to the world’s increasing dependence on digital infrastructure. Josh’s unique approach to security in the context of human factors, adversary motivations, and social impact has helped position him as one of the most trusted names in security. His research cut across sectors to the core challenges of the industry, and drove evolutionary strategies toward emerging technologies and shifting economics. Previously, he served as CSO for PTC, Director of the Cyber Statecraft Initiative for the Atlantic Council, CTO for Sonatype, and other senior roles.

At CISA, Josh helps in assisting with the organization's COVID response and safety-critical efforts during the pandemic.
He drove security and safety throughout PTC & Industrial IoT innovation offerings and accelerated cyber safety maturity.
He also serves as an adjunct faculty for Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College and on the 2016 HHS Cybersecurity Task Force.
He has more than a decade of experience with security and networking software, having served as Principal security Strategist for IBM.
