Makoto Takemiya
Makoto Takemiya is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Soramitsu, a blockchain start-up company headquartered in Japan. A well-known computer scientist, he is one of the lead programmers and architects of numerous blockchain and open source projects. Takemiya has authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers and actively engages in research. Prior to Soramitsu, he worked as a Research Engineer in the Department of Neuroinformatics of ATR, an institution that promotes innovative research on information and communication-related fields.

- Hyperledger Iroha, a settlement system for the National Bank of Cambodia;
- D3 Ledger, a Decentralized Digital Depository for digital assets;
- Sora, a decentralized autonomous economic system;
- Polkadot, an open-source sharding multichain protocol;
- Polkaswap, non-custodial AMM DEX designed for the Polkadot ecosystem; and
- Fearless Wallet, the first native mobile application to support all Kusama and Polkadot network features.
