Michael Edwards
Michael Edwards is Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers. He brings significant experience in risk optimization, portfolio management, and firm leadership to the firm. He also manages a new thematic opportunities strategy at Weiss. Prior to this, Edwards was a Partner at Arrowgrass Capital Partners, where he also served as Head of the U.S. business and Head of Global Event-Driven Strategies. He has also spent six years at D.E. Shaw & Co, where he co-managed the firm’s Risk Arbitrage and Event-Driven sub-strategies and oversaw its Pan-Asian Special Situations business.
