Robert Barr is Managing Director and GP-Director of Lincoln International, a trusted investment banking and financial services company. As one of the firm's founders, Rob played a pivotal role in creating an entrepreneurial culture and expanding the firm globally. He provides strategic, operational and financial leadership for the firm, and builds long-term relationships with business and industry leaders. He has more than 30 years of investment banking experience, advising on M&A and restructurings, and providing fairness opinions and valuations for shareholder's right plans. Rob also has extensive experience advising on both public and private financings, and has worked with large corporates, publicly traded and privately-held companies, and private equity firms.
During his tenure as Chief Executive of Lincoln International, the firm has consistently experienced double-digit growth in both deal flow and revenue.
He played a pivotal role for the firm to become a key player in middle market investment banking.
Throughout his career, Rob has completed more than 100 M&A transactions across a variety of industries.
He has extensive experience in marketing and negotiating the sale of manufacturing, distribution and service businesses.
Prior to co-founding Lincoln, he advised on cross-border M&A as a Managing Director at Peers & Co.
He was also Senior VP at PaineWebber, working in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department.
Rob began his career as a consultant with Data Resources, Inc.
He was the recipient of ACQ magazine's annual award for leadership in the global investment banking industry in 2013.
