Rob Swan
Rob Swan is Chief Operating Officer and Portfolio Manager of Swan Global Investments. In his role as a Portfolio Manager, he manages and implements the Swan Defined Risk Strategy. He is also responsible for technology development at Swan, which includes the development and maintenance of proprietary computer modeling and trading system. His analytical, technical, and computing skills have been developed and applied since 1988. In addition, Swan provides daily oversight of Swan operations as Chief Operating Officer.

CAREER AT BOEING
- After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Swan joined Boeing in 1989.
- He worked in various positions including sales support, performance and competitive analysis, flight testing, wind tunnel testing, and software development in computational fluid dynamics.
- He worked on numerous programs, including the 737, 757, and High-Speed Civil Transport.
- He worked as an aerodynamic liaison on an industry "Free Flight" initiative to identify areas of inefficiency and propose improvements in the nation's air traffic control system.
CAREER AT OBJECT PUBLISHING SOFTWARE
- Swan joined Object Publishing Software in 1997 as Director of Operations.
- He established functional specifications for the application of the company system to automate the production of catalogs and marketing material.
- He was also responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of the specifications within each company.
