William Thorndike is the Founder and Managing Director of Housatonic Partners, a leading middle private equity firm. Since its founding in 1994, Housatonic has made over 60 investments in private companies and has earned consistent industry-leading returns. Thorndike has over two decades of experience investing in recurring service companies across a wide variety of industries. Prior to Housatonic, he served as a Board of Director at T.Rowe Price Associates and Walker & Company. He has also been a guest lecturer at the Harvard and Stanford business schools. Thorndike is the author of "The Outsiders," which has been translated into thirteen languages. He serves as a director of various private companies and nonprofit organizations.
