Synchronized Global Growth references a time period when major global economies were all growing at the same time

  • Became a prominent term by forecasters in 2017
  • Under this scenario growth in one country fuels growth in others
  • Concern is that if all countries are growing together, will they all contract at the same time?
    • This could be much worse than one or two individual countries having a recession at the same time
    • Usually there are countries growing and unde recession at the same time - balances out global growth
