Hobart and William Smith Colleges

Hobart and William Smith Colleges are independent private liberal arts colleges that offer the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Arts in teaching. Also referred to as HWS or The Colleges, they provide highly individualized educations with a joint corporate identity. HWS operates under a coordinated college system where all students share the same campus, faculty, administration and curriculum. Each college maintains its own traditions, deans, student government and athletic department, giving students additional leadership opportunities.
