Kobe University
Kobe University is one of the oldest national universities in Japan, tracing its history back to 1902. It is made up of 10 faculties, 15 graduate schools, one research institute, and many centers covering the four disciplines of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and biomedical sciences. It has concluded academic agreements with 302 universities and institutions in 54 countries and regions.
- Most international students come from Asia, followed by Europe and then Africa, with a handful from Latin America, North America and Oceania.
- One of its major research initiatives lies in the Graduate School of Science, Technology, and Innovation, which was the first multidisciplinary independent Graduate School in Japan.
