Royal is creating a new co-ownership model where fans can not only invest but truly own pieces of their favorite music. It paves the way for artists to keep independence and creative control as fans fuel their careers. The platform will enable users to own true rights in music through limited digital assets, held on the blockchain. Once you've bought a token, you can claim royalties for the song after they've accrued. The time to payout will vary depending on the artist.
Each token on Royal represents:
- A percentage of the royalties from streaming services. This percentage is determined by which tier you purchase. The higher tier you own, the larger the royalty payout.
- A license for non-commercial use of the digital art associated with the token.
- Any additional perks that the artist chooses to include.
