Saint Xavier University
Saint Xavier University is a Catholic university that is one of sixteen institutions in the United States affiliated with the Sisters of Mercy religious institute. Founded in 1846 and chartered in 1847, SXU's historic roots make it Chicago's oldest college and one of the first institutions of higher learning in Illinois. It is home to a diverse population of 4,000 students and offers more than 40 undergraduate degree programs and nearly 30 graduate degree program options.
