Thomas Jefferson University is a private university born out of a merger between Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University in July 2017. There are two campuses that form the university. The East Falls campus is spread across 100 acres consisting of 52 buildings, including classrooms, laboratories, studios, student accommodation, a library, and an exhibition gallery. The second campus houses the medical offices and Jefferson Health hospital
