University of Calcutta

Established in 1857, the University of Calcutta is a public university known to be one of the first institutions in Asia to be determined as a Western-style and multidisciplinary university. Within India, CU is acknowledged as a "Five-Star University" and accredited "A" Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It adopted the pattern of the University of London and gradually introduced modifications in its constitution. In every aspect, University of Calcutta is considered as the finest of the Indian academics and intellectual world.
