Andrew Balls
Andrew Balls is the Chief Investment Officer for Global Fixed Income at PIMCO. In this capacity, he manages a range of global portfolios and oversees the firm’s European, Asia-Pacific, emerging markets, and global specialist investment teams. Before his current role, Balls served as Head of European Portfolio Management, Global Strategist as well as Global Portfolio Manager in the Newport Beach office. He has over 22 years of relevant experience in economics, investing, and financial markets.

CAREER
- Prior to joining PIMCO in 2006, Balls was an economics correspondent and columnist for the Financial Times in London, New York, and Washington, DC.
- He was nominated by Morningstar in 2013 for European Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Year.
- He was a lecturer in economics at Keble College, Oxford.
