Chris Bloomstran
Christopher Bloomstran is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Semper Augustus Investments Group. He oversees all aspects of the firm's research and portfolio management activities. With over 30 years of professional investment experience, Bloomstran employs a disciplined, value-driven approach to fundamental equity and industry research. Prior to Semper Augustus, he worked at UMB Investment Advisors in St. Louis and Denver, where he managed the Scout Balanced Fund from its inception in 1995 until 1998 when he left to start his own firm.
