Smialek is the author of "Limitless: The Federal Reserve Takes on a New Age of Crisis," a timely and insightful primer that explores the Fed's inner workings during a crucial inflection point of history. She is also a regular contributor for MarketPlace radio, Wharton Business Daily, and occasionally contributes to CNN, BBC Radio, C-SPAN, and CBSN. Smialek has covered economic policy since 2013, including growth data, the Treasury Department, and the European Central Bank. Prior to joining The Times, she covered economics at Bloomberg News and also wrote feature stories for Bloomberg Businessweek magazine.
