Joe McCann is the Founder, CEO, and CIO of Asymmetric, a modern-day cryptocurrency fund and one of the most forward-thinking crypto-native investment firms in recent years. Joe has over 24 years of experience working on Wall Street to Silicon Valley, acquiring skills ranging from systematic and quantitative trading to fundraising and running a venture-backed, open-source enterprise software company. Prior to Asymmetric, he was a Senior Director at Microsoft in the Cloud and AI organization focusing on incubations, mergers and acquisitions, and startups. Before that, he ran Quantitative and Systematic Trading for Cryptocurrencies at Passport Capital, a San Francisco-based hedge fund.
