John Ettelson
John Ettelson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of William Blair & Company. Under his leadership, the firm has grown to more than 20 offices worldwide and annual revenues have quadrupled to over $1 billion. Throughout the course of his career, Ettelson has held various leadership positions at William Blair and has been the lead banker on many of its largest transactions. Also a respected civic leader, Ettelson received the prestigious Illinois Holocaust Museum Humanitarian Award in 2019 for his active support to the community. He also serves on various industry trade organizations.
