John Perkins is the Founder of Dream Change and The Pachamama Alliance, both nonprofit organizations dedicated to creating an environmentally sustainable, socially just world. He is regarded as one of the world’s leading authorities on shamanism and shapeshifting. His books on economics, geopolitics, shamanism, and indigenous cultures have sold more than a million copies and have been published in more than 30 languages. He has also lectured at more than 50 universities worldwide.

EARLY CAREER

  • Perkins has studied with indigenous prophets and shamans and taught at universities and learning centers on four continents. 
  • He served in the Peace Corps in the late 1960s.
  • He then served as the United States Representative to the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency in the 1970s.
  • He served as Chief Economist of Chas. T. Main, an international consulting firm where he worked directly with heads of state and CEOs of major companies.
  • He has advised the World Bank, the United Nations, Fortune 500 corporations, and countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
