Leemon Baird is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Swirlds, now Hashgraph, a software company built by the brightest minds in Web3. He is also the Co-Founder and former Chief Scientist of Hedera Hashgraph, a full open source, public distributed ledger. Baird is a prominent figure in the world of distributed ledger technology best known as the mastermind behind the hashgraph distributed consensus algorithm. He has more than 20 years of technology and startup experience, with a career spanning academia, research, and entrepreneurship. He also co-established several startups, including two identity-related ventures.
