Michael Schaenen is a Senior Partner at ARS Investment Partners, a private investment firm that takes a high-conviction investing approach to generate absolute returns in all market environments. Prior to joining ARS, he was the Founding Partner at Schaenen Wood & Associates, an asset management firm whose total assets under management exceeded $1.25B by 1993, which was acquired by KeyCorp. He was a General Partner at Oppenheimer & Co and began his investment managing career as a Registered Representative at Bache & Co. in Dallas, Texas. In addition to his financial services career, Michael was elected to the Board of The Children’s Village in 1988.
Michael left SWA in 1995, forming Schaenen Fox & Associates, which later became Somerset Capital Advisers, LLC.
Prior to joining ARS, Michael was the Founding Partner at Somerset Capital Advisors, LLC, which was started in 1977.
He is a member of Investment Companies Institute and a former trustee of Columbia Grammar School.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Amherst College.
