Peter Nieh is the Co-Founder and Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, a multi-stage venture capital firm focused on accelerating disruptive innovations and trends. Peter has been working in the venture capital industry since 1995. He is passionate about finding visionary founders and working with them to create high growth successful IPOs and acquisitions.Prior to Lightspeed, Peter worked in business development and product marketing at General Magic, which created electronic marketplaces before the advent of the web. Under his leadership, General Magic pioneered the development of e-commerce and electronic media services by partnering with the world’s largest telecommunications service providers and consumer electronics companies.

EARLY CAREER
Peter was one of the first employees at General Magic. He helped strike corporate partnerships and developed an operating system for mobile devices.
As a Product Manager at Acer, he launched the company's first laptop PCs into the U.S. market. He also assisted in the spec and design of Acer's first notebook computer.
He was a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company and worked predominantly with high-technology clients on product, sales and distribution strategies.
He started his career as an Engineer at Apple, where he developed the firmware that enabled the sleep mode and laid out the printed circuit board for Apple's first laptop.
