Uri Kolodny is the Co-Founder of StarkWare, a leading software platform that scales Ethereum for mass use. Uri served as StarkWare's CEO for the first six years. Under his leadership, StarkWare has achieved an impressive $8 billion valuation and developed STARK-based technology that supports a thriving blockchain ecosystem. In January 2024, he stepped down as CEO of the firm due to family health issues. He was succeeded by Eli Ben-Sasson, StarkWare's President and member of the firm's founding team. Uri is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor who has co-founded several tech companies in optical communications, medical devices, cleantech, and software. Previously, he also served as an EIR with two Israeli VC firms, and as an analyst at McKinsey.

EARLY CAREER

  • Uri served as the Co-Founder and CEO of OmniGuide, an MIT spinoff developing optical fibers for endoscopic surgery.

  • He also co-founded Mondria, a developer of tools for visualization of big data.

  • He was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Greylock & ICV, where he worked with two venture capital firms to identify startup opportunities in cleantech.
