The Ascent Oil Fund is a fund that manages oil producers focused on land activity. This long-only fund, with 15-20 positions, is an efficient vehicle to take advantage of the coming recovery in the oil price. It does not own any major oil companies nor natural gas-focused E&P companies because natural gas price recovery has additional uncertainties.

  • The fund has minimal exposure to the oil field service sector as a recovery in that sector has additional uncertainties
