Davidson is a highly selective independent liberal arts college that offers 29 majors, 40 minors, and five pre-professional programs, with the most popular programs being political science and biology. It is the first liberal arts college to eliminate loans in financial-aid packages by meeting 100% of students’ calculated financial needs. About 80% of the college’s students study or work abroad while at Davidson.

  • The college encourages experiential learning; about 72% of students participate in internships and research and 73% study abroad. 
  • Students sign an Honor Code that allows them to be administered take-home tests and unproctored exams.
