Rob Dugger is Managing Partner of Hanover Investment Group, a family investment and asset management firm headquartered in Virginia. A venture capital investor whose main interest lies in early child development, he also co-founded the ReadyNation, a business early-childhood advocacy organization. For more than 10 years, Dugger has been a champion for robust business partnerships to promote high-return investment spending in children prenatal to five. He advocates for policies that support children in America.

Academic History

EARLY CAREER

  • Dugger began his career in 1972 at the Federal Reserve Board.
  • He served as a senior staff member of the US House and Senate banking committees during the 1980s.
  • He left government service in 1988 to become Policy Director of the American Bankers Association.
  • He shifted completely to the private sector in 1992, becoming a partner in Tudor Investment Corporation.
  • He chaired the board of Singita-Grumeti Reserves Ltd from 2002 to 2010, dedicated to preserving the wildebeest migration route outside the Serengeti National Park. During his chairmanship, this wildlife conservation project by Paul Tudor Jones became one of the world's top-ranked ecotourism hospitality destinations.
  • He participated in establishing the Institute for New Economic Thinking in 2009 to improve the quality of economic research and analysis.
