Macroeconomics is a study about the overall economy including the market systems that operate on a large scale. Looking at the decisions of countries and governments, it studies economy-wide phenomena such as inflation, price levels, economic growth, national income, gross domestic product, and changes in unemployment. Macroeconomics takes a top-down approach and looks at the economy as a whole, trying to determine its course and nature. It deals with the performance, structure, and behavior of the entire economy.
