Mike Drury

Michael Drury is Chief Economist at McVean, an international trading and investment firm that specializes in agricultural products both locally and internationally. In his role, Mike assesses macroeconomic developments around the world to help develop hedging strategies using futures markets in interest rates, currencies and industrial materials. He also travels extensively in the United States and China, as well as Japan, Europe and Latin America. In addition, he is the author of McVean Trading’s “Weekly Economic Update.” Prior to McVean, he spent years as a Senior Economist at Shearson Lehman and its successor firms. He began his career in New York in 1982 as Senior Economist at A. Gary Shilling and Company.
