Nicholas Callais is Managing Partner, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Callais Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm that serves as a manager to a diverse asset strategy mix of venture capital, real estate, and private credit. Nick is responsible for all finance and operations functions for Callais Capital, including overseeing the firm's accounting, compliance, finance, tax, operations, risk management, IT, and investor relation functions. He also assists portfolio companies with financial reporting and operations, currently manages over 12 entities for the firm, and helps oversee the family office investments. Previously, he worked at United Community Bank in credit analysis and in several different political roles. He was previously the youngest elected official in Louisiana as Vice President on the Terrebonne Parish Republican Party Executive Committee and worked as Regional Political Director in several campaigns on the federal, state, and local levels.
Nick is the Owner and Director of Pelican Waste & Debris, and Owner of Abdon Callais Offshore.
Nicholas is a CFA Level II exam candidate, holds the FINRA Series 65, and is an Eagle Scout. He was a Board Advisor for PosiGen and mumms Software.
He received a B.A. in Philosophy, Political Science and Minor in Economics from Tulane University and an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Science at Tulane University.
