Daniel Ahn is Managing Director, Chief U.S. Economist, and Head of Macroeconomic Strategy at BNP Paribas. Prior to this, he was the Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of State. In this previous role, Ahn advised the Secretary of State and senior principals on a broad range of international economic and security topics relevant to U.S. foreign policy. His research focuses on international political economy, energy economics, and the economics of conflict and national security, particularly energy security and economic warfare. He is the author of multiple research articles, Congressional testimony, and a textbook.
