Daniel Lacalle is the Chief Economist and Chief Investment Officer of Tressis, and Global Economy Professor at IE University and IEB Business School. Lacalle is a renowned economist, fund manager, corporate advisor and author with over 25 years of demonstrated experience in the energy and finance sectors, particularly in Latin America, North Africa, and the Middle East. He is an expert in monetary policy and implications on markets, energy transition, global macro strategy, commodity trading, and economics. His career in portfolio and investment management started at the hedge fund Citadel and continued in Econ Limited and PIMCO, in the USA and London. Previously, he worked as a financial analyst at ABN Amro, now RBS, and took on different responsibilities in Repsol and Enagas.
