Douglas Borthwick is the Co-Founder and CEO of Blu Canary Capital, a global advisory and fund management firm at the forefront of the regulated digital securities world. He leads the firm in shaping entertainment's future through AI, blockchain, digital asset taxation and immersive tech. Borthwick is a 25+ year financial industry veteran and fintech expert with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services and blockchain industries. He has held various leadership positions in the financial and trading industries, including stints at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to Blu Canary, he was Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Business Development at INX Limited, a blockchain asset trading solution. Under his leadership, INX launched the first IPO of an SEC-Registered Security Token, opening the door for companies to legally raise capital directly from their communities. His current interests include security tokens, cryptocurrency, macro, and foreign exchange trading and strategy.
