John Mousseau is the President, CEO and Director of Fixed Income at Cumberland Advisors. He also serves as Cumberland’s portfolio manager and has overall responsibility for portfolio construction, management, analysis, trading and research for all tax-free and taxable bond accounts. Prior to his current role, he has been a member of Cumberland Management and longtime Director of Fixed Income at Cumberland for 18 years. Mousseau has over 35 years of investment management experience and has become a thought leader in fixed income investing and the macroeconomic landscape. He is also the co-author of “Adventures in Muniland: A Guide to Municipal Bond Investing in the Post-Crisis Era.”
EARLY CAREER
Prior to joining Cumberland in 2000, Mousseau was the Director of Municipal Bond Investments for Lord Abbett & Company.
He also worked previously for Shearson Lehman Brothers and E.F. Hutton.
He has also taught as an instructor at the New York Institute of Finance and the Bond Market Association.
He has also been a contributor to the Municipal Finance Journal.
