Dr. Daniel Jerrett, Ph.D., is the Co-Founder, Managing Principal, and Chief Investment Officer at Stategy Capital, a premier multi-asset alternative investment management firm. In these roles, he is responsible for the firm’s portfolio construction and management, as well as quantitative research. Dan is a recognized expert in time-series analysis and macroeconomic forecasting, with nearly two decades of experience developing and implementing quantitative modeling initiatives, spanning both the private and public sectors. Prior to Stategy, he has worked as a fixed-income analyst and macroeconomist at Putnam Investments, Senior Economic Advisor to former Governor of Colorado, Bill Ritter, and co-founder of Clear Future, a boutique economic advisory firm. Today, he also teaches courses in econometrics and forecasting at the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) and is a member of the JPMCC’s Industry Advisory Council. He also serves as a GCARD contributor.

JPMCC & UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO

  • Dan is active in academia, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics and forecasting.

  • He lectures for the JPMCC's Professional Education program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School.

  • He sits on the Business School’s JPMCC advisory board helping develop curriculum in the areas of data analytics, trading, and risk management.

  • He also contributed a GCARD article on measuring commodity super cycles and presented on this topic at the JPMCC's 4th Annual International Commodities Symposium.
