David Zervos is Chief Market Strategist for Jefferies, a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm. In his role, he provides frequent face-to-face meetings to the equity, fixed income and investment banking clients across the entire Jefferies platform. He also serves as Head of Global Macro Division of Leucadia Asset Management, where he composes written strategy that expresses his views of global macroeconomic and financial trends. Prior to joining Jefferies, he was a Visiting Advisor in the Division of Monetary Affairs at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC. Zervos is best known across the financial services industry for his timely, insightful macroeconomic commentary and viewpoints. He is a regular speaker at many industry conferences and events worldwide.
EARLY CAREER
Prior to visiting the Federal Reserve, he held a variety of research, sales and trading positions in the private sector.
He managed global macro portfolios for Brevan Howard, and was a Senior Portfolio Manager for UBS O'Connor.
He began his career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in the early 1990’s.
