Tufts Financial Group that has established itself as a resource for Tufts students at all levels of experience, with an interest in finance. A student-run organization that actively manages a real portfolio of investments, TFG gives students the opportunity to split up into different industry-based sectors and put their skills to work in developing pitches for various publicly traded companies. TFG was founded as a value-investing club, and continues to operate in this way through its stock-pitching component. The group is established to help students learn successful investing techniques, build networks in finance, and provide practical knowledge to the Tufts community about the financial industry. Through management of the Alpha Fund, TFG provides invaluable hands-on experience to undergraduate students of all disciplines and levels of financial expertise. TFG also serves as a resource to students on campus by hosting a number of educational and career related events throughout the academic year.

  • The largest business club at Tufts University with over 200+ members, TFG is the only group that offers students real investing experience.

  • TFG members join as analysts and conduct research on companies in a specific sector, while working under lead analysts.

  • The group is a reliable organization to cultivate your skills, find a mentor, prepare for interviews, and many more.

  • TFG's Alpha Fund portfolio, an alumni-backed Fund, has grown to over $300k in assets under management (AUM).

  • The Alpha Fund allows students to further develop and prepare for professional success by providing access to mentorship, research tools and a firsthand experience in making investment decisions.

  • TFG's Analyst Training Program provides a structured curriculum through which students can obtain technical knowledge and explore roles within the industry to find a good fit.

  • More experienced students are given the opportunity to split up into different industry-based sectors and put their skills to work in developing pitches for various publicly traded companies.

  • TFG's final component, the Portfolio Committee, manages the Alpha Fund. The Committee ultimately decides the Portfolio's makeup and makes decisions regarding asset allocation.
