University of California, Santa Barbara

Famous for its scenic location, the University of California Santa Barbara is a research institution with a comprehensive liberal arts learning experience. Though the school was founded as a teachers college, it offers more than 200 majors, degrees, and credentials. Some of the most popular areas of study are mathematics and statistics, biological sciences, and psychological and brain sciences. UCSB is also home to one of the nation’s top treatment centers for autism, The Koegel Autism Center. Last year students received over $17 million in scholarships through university donors.
