Vanguard Mid-Cap ETF seeks to track the performance of the CRSP US Mid Cap Index, which measures the investment return of mid-capitalization stocks. If follows a passively managed, full-replication approach, providing a convenient way to match the performance of a diversified group of medium-size companies. VO offers exposure to a balanced portfolio of stocks, including close to 460 individual names and spreading exposure relatively evenly. It ranks U.S. companies by market capitalization and selects those ranked between the 70th and 85th percentiles. The expense ratio is among the cheapest in the category making it an excellent choice for those looking to keep costs to an absolute minimum.
